SKIP PERMITS

Waste Cloud Ltd can also arrange a skip permit for you. Waste Cloud Ltd charges an initial deposit of £69.00 and if any additional costs are required we will communicate this before the order proceeds, as some councils charge an admin fee and also suspension of parking bays. Skip permits are not required if the skip is being placed off the public highway, however, Waste Cloud Ltd takes no responsibility for any damages caused to driveways or property.

POPS REGULATIONS

We would like to advise you about the recent guidance and statements in relation to Waste Upholstered Domestic Seating (WUDS) containing Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPS). This is in relation to the use of chemical-based fire retardants, which pose a risk to human's health, due to the potential to leak from landfill sites, they must now be separately treated, handled and then incinerated.

What items are affected?

Waste Upholstered Domestic Seating, includes any item of upholstered seating of a household type from households or businesses that is waste. For example, Sofas, Sofa Beds, Armchairs, Kitchen and Dining Room Chairs, Stools and Footstools, Home Office Chairs, Futons, Beanbags, Electric Reclining Chairs, Floor and Sofa Cushions. Mattresses, Curtains, Carpets, Blinds and Beds are NOT classed as POPs, although additional costs may incur.
